The simple domino-based rules have been refined and new elements have been added, carefully selected and tested. This has not only expanded and updated the game, but has also considerably increased the number of strategic decisions and choices. Nevertheless, the rules of the game have remained simple and easy to understand.

Game variations to suit every taste

It can be said that you get three games in one box. The developers have been very clever not to cram all the new rules and additions into one game. This makes it easy to learn and play, and gives all new players the chance to try out the basic version of Kingdomino. "Origins can be played in three different ways. Each of them is interesting, different and offers an interesting and intriguing interpretation of the same game. The first is very close to the classic 'Kingdomino'. Players choose territory cards, combine different lands into as large an area as possible, and score points for the fires they contain. The game's new feature is volcanoes, whose lava bursts can create new bonfires and increase the value of land area. Short rules of the game

The core of the game is the double-sided territory cards showing different lands (fields, cliffs, volcanoes, lakes, etc.). Players join them together in a domino pattern and try to create as many identical land areas as possible, for which they receive points at the end of the game. The game cards are drawn in turn, so that players not only have to choose the cards that suit them best, but also keep an eye on the other players' territories in order to prevent them from scoring big points. Players' territories cannot exceed the set limits, so you have to work out how to fit everything in successfully and intelligently.

There are three different options. In the first, players simply try to connect identical lands and score points for the flame symbols they contain. The second variant uses totems and resource pieces. Most of the lands provide players with different resources (fish, wood, stone, mammoths). Players additionally compete for resources and the points they are awarded for them. The third variant of the game uses Stone Age inhabitants. In order to invite one of the possible characters to their territory, players have to pay him from the available resources. Each character allows for different ways to earn extra points. His card is placed on a free player's territory box and gives points for specific resources nearby. Players therefore need to think carefully about which resources they can collect, when and which character to invite into their territory, which one would be most useful to their opponents, and so on.
