Cypress Tombs, Cypress Tombs

Leah, a coroner's assistant in Vermillion Parish, finds herself at the center of the horror she had been investigating for months. After a night of partying at the Duck Festival with her boyfriend, she awakens bound, gagged, and blindfolded, eerily mimicking the gruesome crime scenes she had once meticulously documented. Disoriented and terrified, Leah struggles to understand how she became the next victim in a string of brutal abductions. The details are all too familiar-the restraints on her wrists and ankles, the isolation in the remote bayou-now it's her life that hangs in the balance, just like the women who came before her.As Leah's captor enacts a twisted game of control and torment, she must confront her worst fears while trying to piece together how she ended up in this horrifying situation. Her only hope of survival lies in outsmarting the predator who has turned her darkest nightmare into reality. The clock is ticking, and as each moment passes, Leah knows that her fate could mirror the tragic victims she once tried to find justice for.
